Once planning permission is obtained and your Architect/Engineer has completed the design of your project the next step is setting-out.
This involves marking-out positions of main structural elements from the design onto the ground, usually steelwork gridlines, external building lines, foundations, construction offsets, drainage positions etc. With suitable construction drawings and site control we can achieve millimetre (approx. 1-2mm) accuracy where required. Datum Plus Ltd has 15 years of setting-out experience ranging from simple house extensions to extremely complicated steelwork gridlines and large scale civil engineering projects.
Datum Plus Ltd offers a precise, reliable trustworthy site setting out service. Site setting out engineers are responsible for setting out, levelling and surveying the site.
Our engineers work to an exceptionally high standard with speed and accuracy.
We will liaise with architects, engineers and foremen to obtain as much information prior to our site visits. This enables us to have coordinated as much workings out as possible. This will keep site visits to a minimum, costs for our clients down and for you to get the most out of our services.
Datum Plus Ltd engineers will arrive on site with the latest robotic one man total stations, laptops and levels. We will provide paint and nails but ask our clients to provide site pegs and pins.
