Our all in one service includes the introduction to our piling contractor who will engineer a design specific to your project. Once the design has been agreed our setting out engineers will attend site to set out the piling mat location and give site datums based on the approved working drawings.
Datum Plus will reduce excavate and remove spoil from site. The specified piling mat material will then be imported to site to the exact depth as designed by our piling contractor. Once the piling mat has been installed and correctly compacted our setting out engineers will return to site accurately positioning pile locations.
Our piling contractor will now set up on site auguring the required piles while our excavator and operator work alongside attending to their requirement’s . Once all piling has been completed our groundwork team will follow excavating the foundations to required depths. Piles will then be broken down as indicated on structural drawing’s and blinding and void formers will be installed if required. Depending on the design, reinforcement to the beams, pads, pile caps and slabs will be tied and fixed to the approved structural drawings. Shuttering/ formwork needed will now be fixed into place ready to receive concrete.
Datum Plus are happy to deal directly with relevant authorities or NHBC to obtain approval for the works undertaken.
Once approval has been obtained the Concrete as specified on working drawings will now be poured using methods relevant to each project. This may be a pump pour, machine pour with a skip attachment or directly from the concrete lorry itself.
